Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Howdy! My name is Ryan Lloyd and I am a dually licensed Marriage & Family Therapist & Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor working in North Texas. One of the mantras I live by is "we can't do better if we don't know better." I say this as I involve contemporary psychoeducation into my work with clients and view therapy as a learning experience. I heavily value honesty in the therapeutic relationship and don't shy away from challenging clients to foster growth within themselves and their relationships. It's incredibly important to me to collaborate with my clients and I welcome you to explore growth, learning, and healing with me.

Young children are eager to engage with the world around them, and they learn from all the experiences they encounter. They are avid learners, constantly developing mentally, physically, emotionally and socially. Children need and deserve our respect, and must in turn be taught to respect others and the world around them. When we engage children in rich experiences and make learning joyful, they learn to love learning, and become lifelong learners. To this end we must provide learning materials and experiences that are engaging and meaningful to the child. Those materials must be varied, and may include books, computers, hands on experiences, toys, games, and time in natural environments.

Amy Battles, LMFT associate
Supervised by Dr. Misti Sparks, Texas Wesleyan University
Hi! My name is Amy Battles, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist – Associate, supervised by Dr. Misti Sparks, Ph.D., LMFT-S. I earned my BS in Psychology in 2020 and my MS in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2023, both from Texas Wesleyan University.
This is my second career, both of which have focused on working with people. As a single mother working in corrections, I witnessed life's toughest challenges and learned that even the direst circumstances don't define a person's outcome. Freedom and growth often come despite confinement. Now, I aim to use my life lessons, experiences, and training to support you in finding the freedom and growth you seek as an individual, couple, or family.
I have clinical experience with PTSD, anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol addictions, family conflicts, panic disorders, and working with youth. You have a preferred future that may yet be untold, and there is hope and healing in defining your true self.
In my personal life, I am a grandmother of four wonderful children and a proud mother-in-law. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Wesleyan University.
